Of course, you know that eating healthy foods is important. What you eat affects your mood, your hormone production, brain function and of course your wellbeing and health as a whole. If your diet does not contain the right nutrients, your body will not function optimally – as it does not have the raw material to do so. In simplified form it is actually that simple.
WE all know it is best to get the nutrition we need directly from the food, but sometimes supplements need to be added. Since the food we eat today is not as nutrient-dense as one would like, due to depleted soils and processed food, we do not always get all the nutrients our bodies require. At the same time, other factors may increase the need for certain nutrients, e.g. stress, birth control pills, some medications, alcohol, vegetarian and vegan diets (which may contain too little of, for example, certain amino acids, iron, zinc and B12 if you are not careful). Eating right and healthy also requires some planning, which some days is easier said than done!
In order to best evaluate your individual nutritional needs, we recommend that you do a blood test and book a consultation with one of our nutritionists at HerCare.
